About this Website...

Well, this webpage has a long and storied history. My first website for the Zapaneese Empire was on Geocities. I'd link to it but it is horribly out of date and is basically "old and busted." That started in late 1998 as best as I can figure. I know I was in 9th grade.
Slowly that page evolved in to what you can find under the Zapania link to the left.

The current webpage layout was designed in September of 2002. I don't remember what my initial motivation was to design it this way or even change what I had, but I guess it worked out ok.

Versions
These are the screenshots that I took of the previous versions of this page.

Version 1 - The Beginning.
Version one had about 5 "mini updates" when I changed the front page, but not much else. Here they are:

Version 1.0. The very first version. Screen Capture is at 1024 x 768. 127k.

Version 1.1 Version 1.1 showed up in November because I got sick of looking at the previous page. Screen Capture is at 1024 x 768. 112k.

Version 1.1.1 It only took four days to go from 1.1 to 1.1.1. I found an image I wanted to put up, so I changed it. Screen Capture is at 1024 x 768. 103k.

Version 1.1.2 A month later I changed the front page in a fit of despair. Hey, finals are lonely. Screen Capture is at 1024 x 768. 96k.

Version 1.1.3 I didn't have anything to say but wanted to update. Screen Capture is at 1280 x 1024. 113k.

Version 1.fire After the Compaq caught fire, I felt obligated to update. Screen Capture is at 1280 x 1024. 141k.

Version 2 - The Rebirth
Version 2 was a triumphant re-animation of this page. Right now we are on version 2.3, but you can see 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 below.

Version 2.0. Version 2: Added the journal. Corny launch joke available. Screen Capture is at 1280 x 1024. 110k.

Version 2.1. Version 2.1: Added Advice and Guest Rants. I think I switched to PHP somewhere in there. Funny survival picture. Screen Capture is at 1280 x 1024. 99k.

Version 2.2. Version 2.2: Nothing really changed, I just had a snowflake picture. I lost a lot of screen captures between the last one and this one...oh well. Screen Capture is at 1280 x 1024. 126k.
